Johnny Carroll-Pell is an autistic artist who lives in East Sussex. He has a studio at home and paints and creates artwork most days. He has had several exhibitions and is also currently a member of Turner Prize nominated, Project Art Works, Hastings. The Hare and The Dutch Girl were painted during Lockdown, via zoom art classes with 'Art Enthusiasts, London'. Johnny especially enjoys creating large pieces and paints quickly, freely and joyfully. He has a bold sense of colour. Johnny's artwork appears on the covers of several of Henry Normal's poetry books and he is the subject of a book and a radio show entitled 'A Normal Family'.
